If you don’t know the name of Jesse Plemons (“The Irishman”, “Game Night”), you certainly have seen his face. Since 2014, Plemons has appeared in 20 films and television series, with another 3-5 appearances expected in 2020 alone. He is what you might call a “working actor.”
Besides the sheer amount of appearances, his filmography includes huge successes in film and television, including movies like “The Irishman” and “The Post,” and TV shows like “Black Mirror” and “Fargo.” He even has worked with directors like Martin Scorsese, Adam McKay, and Steven Spielberg. His new film “Antlers” gives him a chance to work with another fantastic filmmaker in Guillermo del Toro, who will be producing the thriller.
Here is the official synopsis:
A small-town Oregon teacher and her brother, the local sheriff, become entwined with a young student harboring a dangerous secret with frightening consequences.

Along with Plemons, “Antlers” stars Keri Russell (“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” and “The Americans”) and Jeremy T. Thomas as the student harboring that secret described above. Russell is coming off her successful stint on “The Americans” and her Broadway starring role alongside Adam Driver in “Burn This.” The cast will try to recreate box office magic for “Antlers” which is based on the book “The Quiet Boy” by Nick Antosca.
As Plemons continues to act though, his roles have gotten bigger and bigger, with more leading roles each year. “Antlers” will be another opportunity for Plemons to work with an established filmmaking presence and continue to improve his brand as one of the strongest actors working today. With an interesting supernatural presence and quality leads, “Antlers’ will look to shock audiences in early 2020.
Written and directed by Scott Cooper, “Antlers” will be released on April 17, 2020, by Fox Searchlight.
