Tonight is Warner Bros. big IMAX event for "Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice," but some of the sting has certainly been taken out of it. With the trailer leaking last week, followed by a hastily posted official version late on Friday, reaction has been very divided. Zack Snyder’s serious, dark tone has turned off many, while others are intrigued by the thematic ideas being offered up. Certainly these new posters for the movie are a visual representation of DC’s distinct approach and how vastly different it is from Marvel.

Instead of going for the bright, candy colors of their rivals, which tend to deliver either character standalone one-sheets, or crammed, character-packed posters, these relatively simple ‘Batman v. Superman’ posters tell a story. They highlight two heroes divided, obsessed with each other, and as we know, these feelings will drive them into battle.
