Asa Butterfield Reportedly Wins Role As Marvel's Spider-Man

X+YSigned, sealed, delivered? Well, not quite, but it looks like Marvel has locked up the next face of Spider-Man, as the studio sorta reboots the character with the permission of Sony.

Umberto Gonzalez reports that Asa Butterfield has beat out a field of contenders including Nat Wolff ("Paper Towns," "The Fault In Our Stars"), Tom Holland ("The Impossible," "In The Heart Of The Sea"), Timothee Chalamet ("Interstellar," "The Adderall Diaries"), and Liam James ("The Killing") to land the gig. Of course, nothing is official from Marvel, but perhaps we’ll know soon as "Captain America: Civil War" is currently filming and Spidey will be swinging into action in some capacity in that movie.
