“The Sinner”
Synopsis: Detective Harry Ambrose realizes there is nothing ordinary about the case of a young boy who is accused of murdering his parents.
What You Need To Know: Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) is forced to return to his hometown in rural New York to work on another harrowing and disturbing criminal investigation. This time thirteen-year-old Julian Walker (Elisha Henig), has killed his parents for seemingly no reason. As Ambrose digs deeper, he learns uncovers unsettling truths about Julian, where the young boy came from, and the dark secrets of his hometown.

“Lodge 49”
Synopsis: A meandering Long beach ex-surfer joins a local frat group.
What You Need To Know:After discovering a fraternity ring while beachcombing, ex-surfer Sean “Dud” Dudley (Wyatt Russell) joins the Ancient and Benevolent Order of the Lynx and with the help of his new frat brothers (Brent Jennings, David Pasquesi, Eric Allan Kramer) and frustrated twin sister Liz (Sonya Cassidy), begins to slowly get his life back on track. The trope of “benign stoner manbaby meandering through life” has reached its expiry date in pop culture, but the obvious underlying issues of Dud and Liz and their recent troubles, and the charm and sweet sincerity of Wyatt Russell make “Lodge 49” a series one should check out and ride its waves.

“Insecure”
Synopsis: Issa has finally achieved closure and is living her best life with her friends – but is still not where she wants to be.
What You Need To Know: Issa Rae’s (“Awkward Black Girl”) supernova comedy-drama continues its excellence (and excellent raps!) in its third season. With Lawrence (Jay Ellis) in the review mirror, the lives of Issa Dee (Rae), Molly (Yvonne Orji) and their friends (Natasha Rothwell, Amanda Seales) are looking up and living their best lives. Now if only Issa can save up enough money to move out of her complicated booty-call/potentially something “more” Daniel’s (Y’lan Noel) apartment…..
