Zack Snyder‘s older, worn out Batman is going to be quite different than Christopher Nolan‘s playboy turned hero. In Nolan’s "The Dark Knight" films, Bruce Wayne strives to give the people of Gotham hope and to keep them safe from those who intend to do harm. But when we meet Ben Affleck‘s version in "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice" this coming March, he will have seen the horror of what Superman is capable of, via the climatic events of "Man Of Steel." This time, Batman is more than just a man fighting for justice under the cover of darkness.
“[Batman] is not giving people a chance,” producer Charles Roven told Empire. “He is more than a vigilante. He has become not only the cop, if you will, but he has also become the jury and executioner.”

At the top of Batman’s list for street-justice style retribution is Superman, and Affleck explained in the print edition of the magazine that the ensuing battle between the two iconic heroes is driven by the fact that each thinks they are on the right side.

Prеdаtоr," whеrе yоu hаvе twо mоnstеrs аnd thеy’rе gоnnа fight, yоu hаvе twо pеоplе whо rеаlly truly bеliеvе thеy аrе dоing sоmеthing hеrоic аnd nеcеssаry in thеir cоnflict," the actor said (via Comic Book Movie). He added: "Bаtmаn hаs sееn thе dеvаstаtiоn thаt cоmеs frоm аliеns brawling оn Еаrth. Hе thinks Supеrmаn’s аttrаcting fliеs tо оur plаnеt. Hе is bаsicаlly а bеаcоn…"
