Due out this February, FX’s hit tv show “Better Things” is back with Pamela Adlon in full control and coming for that Emmy Award. Since its origin in 2016, “Better Things” has only been rising in popularity all thanks to Adlon; no wonder, considering how much of herself the talented actress/creator is pouring into the hit comedy series. The show won a Peabody Award in 2016, and Adlon was nominated in 2017 and 2018 for the Emmy Award of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Based on the real-life experiences and emotions she has with her own three daughters, Adlon brought her baby into creation with the help of “Louie” co-star, creator, and comedian Louis C.K. However, after the accusations against Louis C.K. (and so many others) were brought to light in November 2017, FX and Adlon did the smart thing by dropping him like a hot cake from the network and “Better Things” show altogether. With Louis C.K. gone, four new writers in, and Adlon producing, starring in, and directing solely for the first time, we might just be seeing a change of pace (hopefully for the better) in season 3.

Already, the show has a good list of guest stars lined up for the upcoming season. Notable names include Sharon Stone (“Total Recall”), Judy Reyes (“Scrubs”), Janina Gavankar (“Sleepy Hollow”), and Matthew Broderick (“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “War Games”) will be recurring as a counselor. Returning cast includes Pamela Adlon (of course), Mikey Madison as newly graduated daughter Max, Hannah Alligood as the radical middle child, Olivia Edward as adorable littlest, and Celia Imrie as the grandmother.
