So yeah, January Jones is leading a western and don’t worry if you forgot about it. In fact, the film titled “Sweetwater” (though it seems to be going as “Sweet Vengeance” in some territories) even premiered at Sundance back in January, but the reception was so muted (some folks have told us it was awful) that the movie is still without a U.S. distributor. But international openings await, and thus we have our first trailer.
Well, they certainly made the most of exploding ketchup packets. Yep, the blood really flies in “Sweetwater” even if the movie seems to be a pretty generic tale with a gender twist. Logan and Noah Miller, have teamed with Jones and re-teamed with Ed Harris (after working with him on “Touching Home“), for this story set in 1886 New Mexico where a young widow seeks revenge for the murder of her husband at the hands of a brutal rancher. So basically, Betty Draper puts up her hair and starts wasting people, because that’s how these things go.
Like we said, no domestic date yet but watch the trailer and check out the batch of new pics below. [Indiewire]
