We love shows about the cutthroat business dealings of wealthy people, or at least it looks that way whenever memes about “Succession” and cousin Gregg invade social media. The HBO show takes more of a satirical approach to the world of the 1%, while Showtime’s hit drama “Billions” has been showing us the back-stabbing dealings of New York’s uber-rich power players. And soon you can see Julianna Margulies, Frank Grillo and Corey Stoll join the cast in the trailer for the upcoming season 5.

Both “Succession”, “Billions” and even Don Cheadle’s new comedy “Black Monday” manage to make the complicated world of finance into exciting, funny, and thrilling shows with terrible people as protagonists, but which are still accessible for audiences. That the shows also aren’t afraid to make fun of, or expose those belonging in the 1% as mostly terrible people makes these shows very cathartic, and it helps that “Billions” features so many plot twists you can’t help but stay glued to the TV.

After spending most of season 4 united in their quest for vengeance, hedgefund billionaire Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) and U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) are now back into being rivals and use all their power and influence to outsmart the other. The official synopsis for season 5 reads: Bobby Axelrod (Damien Lewis) and Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) see their vicious rivalry reignited, while new enemies rise and take aim. Social impact pioneer Mike Prince (Corey Stoll) poses a true threat to Axe’s dominance, and Chuck feuds with a formidable district attorney (Roma Maffia). Taylor Mason (Asia Kate Dillon) is forced back to Axe Capital, where Taylor must fight to protect their employees and their assets. Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff) reevaluates her loyalties and forges surprising new alliances that put her at odds with both Chuck and Axe. This season, the struggle for power becomes a struggle for survival, and all characters must adapt or risk extinction.
