Billy Crystal & John Goodman Return To 'Monsters, Inc.' Franchise With New Disney+ Streaming Series

While the new series from Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios seem to be getting all the headlines, Disney’s upcoming streaming service will have plenty of other choices for those that aren’t superhero or “Star Wars” fans. Case in point – Pixar is bringing back the beloved “Mosters, Inc.” franchise as inspiration for a new series coming to Disney+.

Variety is reporting that Billy Crystal and John Goodman have signed on to reprise their roles from the famous ‘Monsters’ franchise in a new series titled “Monsters at Work,” which is coming to Disney+ in 2020. According to the report, the series will follow a new character, Tylor Tuskmon, voiced by “Superstore” actor Ben Feldman, who idolizes Mike and Sully and does everything in his power to move up the ranks of Monsters, Inc. so that he can work alongside his heroes.

Crystal and Goodman are not the only original actors reprising roles for “Monsters at Work.” Actors John Ratzenberger, Jennifer Tilly, and Bob Peterson have all signed on to voice characters in the new series, alongside new actors like Kelly Marie Tran, Henry Winkler, Lucas Neff, Alanna Ubach, Stephen Stanton, and Aisha Tyler.

Of course, there’s no official release date for the series yet, outside of the 2020 timeframe. Disney+ hasn’t even been formally announced, with a launch date expected sometime later this year. “Monsters at Work” joins a ton of series and films that are currently in development for the platform, which is also expected to house the entire Disney library of animated films.
