For those of us who didn’t make it the cinema last night, we’re still on spoiler watch for “Blade Runner 2049.” Navigating social media is going to be a minefield for the next couple days, but if you need a distraction to keep you in one place for about an hour, these interviews with Denis Villeneuve are a good place start.
The director himself isn’t interested in talking spoilers just yet, so these sit downs with Google and “q” likely won’t reveal anything you don’t already know. Moreover, it’s just nice to hear a filmmaker behind a major blockbuster who seems genuinely humbled and in awe that he got to make “Blade Runner 2049” at all. Villeneuve’s admiration for Ridley Scott‘s original and his desire to not fuck it up are palpable.
