For much of his career, Pilou Asbaek has preferred to stay in the realm of Euro cinema, starring in the terrific TV series "Borgen," and leading films like "R," "A Hijacking," and the upcoming foreign film Oscar contender, "A War." But lately, he’s been making strides toward the west. He’s got a role in the new season of "Game Of Thrones," he’s booked a gig in the "Ben-Hur" remake, and last summer he starred in the Scarlett Johansson smash hit "Lucy." Now he’s re-teaming with the actress once again.
Variety reports that Asbaek will be joining the live action adaptation of "Ghost In The Shell." "Snow White And The Huntsman" helmer Rupert Sanders is directing the movie about a special ops cyborg who is trained to stop the most elite cyber criminals. Asbaek will be playing Batou from the original.
The Paramount movie is loading up and you’ll see it in cinemas on March 31, 2017.
