Brad Pitt's 'In With The Devil' Has Finished Script By William Monahan? Production Starting Soon?

We’re sure they’re very nice guys, but we’ve never heard of them before so take it with a grain of salt, but DVDSnapshot are reporting that the recently revealed Brad Pitt project, “In With The Devil,” might be further along than we initially thought.

According to an email they have received, the project apparently has a completed script by William Monahan (“The Departed“) and is set to begin shooting soon but something here doesn’t make sense. Firstly, the book was only published last month, and while its certainly possible that Pitt’s Plan B received galleys long before it hit store shelves, the other piece of the puzzle is that Monahan has been busy with his directorial debut “London Boulevard” since mid-2009 when it began shooting (it underwent reshoots earlier this year and hits theaters in the UK next month). We can’t imagine he cranked out a script for Pitt somewhere in the midst of all that. And while IMDB certainly isn’t the bible, it has nothing on the project, suggesting a production that is still in its early stages, not one that is set to shoot soon.

If we had to guess, we’d say that perhaps Monahan is being hired to write the script; rather than already having one in shooting condition ready to go. At any rate, some steam seems be building around the project (in somewhat random places) and it will be interesting to see what comes of it.
