The proposed “Beverly Hills Cop 4” idea will simply not die. Eddie Murphy didn’t retire (unfortunately), and Brett Ratner, the director behind this “concept,” won’t stop talking about it.
While the doughy himbo Ratner didn’t drop the dreaded R-“reboot” word (Hollywood’s most in-vogue designation), he did get close to the appellation that translates into: “remember that franchise we killed? Here’s why it will make money again.”
“It’s a reinvention,” the director revealed to MTV. “I’m going to reintroduce it to a contemporary audience. I’m going to take the best of the first two films and put it into the new one.”
He also revealed it won’t be a soft, wisecracking buddy comedy for the whole family. “It’s a hard R,” he boasted. Congratulations? The rest is blah, blah, blah, blah…
