Today is the day that we have finally found proof that actor Brian Tyree Henry is human after all. You’d be hard-pressed to find an actor of Henry’s caliber that has had more incredible projects released in the last couple of years. And part of the reason he’s been in so many good projects is that Henry is in just a ton of films. But even he has to step away if his schedule gets too packed, as is the case with the upcoming “A Quiet Place 2.”
According to Deadline, Brian Tyree Henry has had to step out of a starring role in the highly-anticipated horror sequel, “A Quiet Place 2” due to scheduling conflicts. He will be replaced by none other than Djimon Hounsou in the film, which is currently in production and scheduled for a March 2020 release.
While the exact conflict isn’t divulged, it would likely appear that Henry is prepping work for the Marvel Studios film “Eternals” and had to choose one or the other. That’s pure speculation, of course, but would be the only explanation that we can imagine, unless there’s more to the story than just a schedule. Regardless, Henry is about to begin work on a Marvel Studios blockbuster and Hounsou, who is no stranger to the MCU, is here to pick up the slack.
Hounsou is the two-time Academy Award-nominated actor best known for the films “Amistad,” “In America,” “Blood Diamond,” and many others. As mentioned, he has previously starred in multiple Marvel Studios projects, including “Guardians of the Galaxy” and most recently, “Captain Marvel.”
Hounsou joins actors Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, and Noah Jupe in “A Quiet Place 2,” which is once again directed by the first film’s star John Krasinksi.
“A Quiet Place 2” will arrive in theaters on March 20, 2020.
