Brittany Snow Joins Anna Kendrick In A Capella Comedy 'Pitch Perfect'

Rebel Wilson & Adam Devine Also Join Cast

So, can the singing and dancing that everyone seems to like on “Glee” and endless amounts of reality shows ever be translated to the big screen? Well, they tried “Glee: The 3D Concert Movie” this summer and failed miserably, and remember “Hamlet 2“? Yeah, no one cared for that either. But producer Elizabeth Banks and the rest of the people over at Gold Circle Films are hoping their indie effort can be the one that is the exception to the rule.

Led by Anna Kendrick playing a rebellious goth (seriously), this comedy is set in an all-girls college and follows an a cappella group, led by a newbie singer, who take on the all-boys championship team. With production set to kick off in a couple of weeks, the movie is finalizing the cast and THR reports that Brittany Snow has boarded the movie, in the role of the buttoned up Chloe who joins the group. Snow has been a familiar face both on the big and small screen, but she’s no stranger to musical fare, having starred in “Hairspray” a few years back.

Also rounding out the cast is Rebel Wilson playing the unfortunately named Fat Amy, as well as “Workaholics” writer and star Adam DeVine who Variety say will be playing the head of the boys championship team.

It’s an interesting concept, and if this can do for a capella what “Bring It On” did for cheerleading, we’ll definitely be interested. TV director Jason Moore (“One Tree Hill,” “Brothers & Sisters“) will make his feature debut with the project.
