We have long-known that Bruce Lee was going to factor into the upcoming Quentin Tarantino film, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” Clearly, if you know anything about the filmmaker, he has a fondness for Lee and probably was just searching for a way to include the actor in his newest film. But we’ve been wondering who the director might nab to portray the action legend. Now, we know.
Actor Mike Moh, who sadly is probably best known for his work on ABC/Marvel’s horrible series “Inhumans,” has been tapped by Tarantino to play Lee in the upcoming film, per The Wrap. The report also claims that Lee’s role in the film will be pretty minor, considering there’s already so much going on, and the late-action star’s connection to the film’s plot is probably limited to the Sharon Tate segments. But still, it’ll be interesting to see how Tarantino honors Lee in the film.
Moh, as mentioned, most recently starred as Triton on “Inhumans,” buried under piles of makeup. However, the actor has also shown up in numerous episodes of the hit Fox drama “Empire.” And according to his social media presence, Moh is quite the fan of Bruce Lee. Just last month, on the anniversary of Lee’s passing, the actor tweeted, “It’s been 45 years since this man passed. #brucelee has inspired me in so many ways… Martial arts, acting, his philosophies on life. But look at the loving way he looked at his children. I know the exact feeling he felt ❤️ RIP Bruce. Walk on.”
Now that we know more about Moh’s work as Lee in the film, our anticipation just continues to build for Tarantino’s latest, which is sure to be something special. At least, we hope so.
