Bruce Willis Signs A Three-Film Deal With MoviePass Films, Which Is Still A Thing

First bit of news we have to get out of the way before we talk about Bruce Willis is that MoviePass is still a thing. That’s right, despite all signs pointing to a certain demise, MoviePass is still chugging along, attempting to become profitable before it’s too late. Which leads us to the news of the day – Bruce Willis has signed a three-film deal with MoviePass Films. Yep, that’s right, while the bread-and-butter subscription service tumbles, the production company is (apparently) thriving.

Deadline is reporting that Willis, has signed a deal with MoviePass Films to work on three movies over the course of the next year or so. For those not aware, MoviePass Films is the production shingle from MoviePass, created after they acquired the production company EFO earlier this year. So, what drew Willis to sign with the production company? Apparently, the actor has a long history of working with the producers involved.

Willis has just wrapped up work on the film, “10 Minutes Gone,” which he worked on with MoviePass Films. Previous to that, the actor has a 15-year relationship with Randall Emmett and George Furla, the producers behind the newly-created production company. So, really, this isn’t an endorsement of MoviePass by one of the biggest actors on the planet. It’s more like an endorsement of a friendship that has spanned a decade and a half.

Emmett said, “We consider Bruce a part of the MoviePass family at this point. Bruce is not only one of the biggest worldwide movie stars but is also a force to be reckoned with, and we look forward to the future with him.”

“After 15 years, I look forward to continuing to work with Randall and George in the coming year,” said Willis.

The first film to come out of this deal is “Trauma Center,” which begins production in February. No word on what the premise of the film is, but we’ll go out on a limb and say that guns, explosions, a trauma center, and Willis’ patented surly attitude will be on display.
