'Buddy Games' Trailer: Josh Duhamel's Directorial Debut Follows A Group Of Raunchy, Competitive Friends

Buddy comedies about grown men acting like kids is one of the most treasured subgenres of comedies. There’s just something nostalgically funny about a grown man getting hit in the crotch. We may grow up, but they’re still always a little funny. With the new trailer for “Buddy Games,” it looks like we’re about to get a whole lot more of that.

“Buddy Games” has a pretty simple premise. After his group of childhood friends has a falling out and don’t speak for years, Bob (Josh Duhamel) decides to reunite everyone to compete in ridiculous competitions for a $150,000 cash prize. Seeming inspired by the childish antics of 2018’s buddy comedy “Tag,” it looks like there is no limit for how silly grown men’s antics will get in this movie.

Just like “Tag,” “Buddy Games” boasts an impressive cast. The movie stars Josh Duhamel (“Transformers“), Olivia Munn (“Office Christmas Party“), Dax Shepard (“Parenthood“), Nick Swardson (“Grandma’s Boy“), Kevin Dillon (“Entourage“), James Roday (“Psych“), and Jensen Ackles (“Supernatural“). In addition to his starring role, Duhamel makes his debut as a screenwriter and director with “Buddy Games.”
