Here’s what we know so far about Gaspar Noe‘s “Love“: it will be in 3D, probably be pretty explicit if not plainly pornographic, and it will have an intriguing opening sequence. And with the Cannes Film Festival hurrying up on us and arriving next week, a new poster has been unveiled, which isn’t so far off from the teaser poster that was dropped last year.
Once again, it’s a three-way makeout, with producer Vincent Maraval calling this one sheet the official version of the poster. Karl Glusman (who will also appear in Roland Emmerich‘s gay rights drama “Stonewall” and Nicolas Winding Refn‘s “The Neon Demon“) leads the movie about a relationship between a boy and two girls. And now we have an official synopsis that is light on plot, but nonetheless fairly evocative:
LOVE occurs beyond GOOD and EVIL. LOVE is a genetic need. LOVE is an altered state of consciousness. LOVE is a hard drug. LOVE is a mental disease. Love is a game of power. LOVE is to surpass one’s self. LOVE is a blinding light. Love is sperm, fluids and tears. LOVE is an arousing sexual melodrama about a boy and a girl and ANOTHER GIRL.
Cannes kicks off on May 13th. Full poster below.
