The holidays are rapidly approaching and studios are eager to get your dollars through Blu-ray re-releases of classic films. Warner Brothers is set to release the political classic from 1976, “All the President’s Men,” on the high def format and have released six clips to remind you why the movie is so bloody brilliant.
The plot follows famed journalists Bob Woodward (Robert Redford) and Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman) as they receive information from a mysterious person known only as Deep Throat, only to uncover corruption involving President Nixon and the Watergate scandal. The movie was a landmark release for 1976 and the clips showcase the nervy director Alan J. Pakula. The film went on to earn 8 Oscar nominations (winning 4) and become one of the defining movies of the decade. And if you pick up the Blu-Ray you’ll get a brand-new Redford-narrated documentary, “All The President’s Men Revisited,” about the making of the film, plus commentary, a vintage interview, and trailer for bonus content.
“All the President’s Men” on hits store shelves November 12th.
