Believe it or not, we haven’t had a real live-action Channing Tatum appearance in a film since 2017. That year, the actor was seen in films such as “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” and “Logan Lucky.” Since then, he’s had a couple of voice roles, but that actor has been relatively quiet. Well, that’s about to change in a big, big way, as Tatum is now signed on to star in a musical, aptly titled “Bob The Musical.”

According to Variety, Tatum will star as the title character, a regular guy that wakes up to find that he’s living his worst nightmare trapped in a real-live musical. “Bob The Musical” is a film that Disney has been trying to get off the ground for years, but apparently, Tatum is now the guy that will do it.
A director hasn’t been named, but there have been quite a few attached in the past to ‘Bob.’ Names such as Michel Hazanavicius, Mark Waters, Adam Shankman, and Phil Lord & Chris Miller have all attempted to get ‘Bob’ off the ground. On the script side of things, previous versions include drafts by Michael Chabon, Mike Bender, Alan Loeb, John August, Lowell Ganz, and Babloo Mandel.
In addition to “Bob The Musical,” Tatum is currently gearing up to make his directorial debut in the film “Dog,” which he is set to co-write and star in, as well. That film will likely get done before the upcoming musical comedy, so we are still quite a ways away from seeing Tatum sing and dance on the big screen.
