“Daredevil” is enjoying a mostly rapturous reception for its second season (though we offer a voice of dissent in that regard), with the latest batch of episodes upping the grit, and bringing fan fave Punisher to the small screen. Almost everyone agrees Jon Bernthal nails the role, and proves a formidable foe to Daredevil. And having already faced off against Wilson Fisk in season one, where could our hero and the series go next? Well, the show’s star Charlie Cox wants an iconic baddie to get in the mix.
“If we are fortunate enough to continue making the ‘Daredevil’ series, I can’t imagine doing a run of ‘Daredevil’ where Bullseye doesn’t show up at some point. It would be great to have him around at some point,” he told Screen Rant. “Who would play that part I have no idea but I just think there’s such an interesting, rich character there, and also of course, the history that Bullseye has with Karen Page [played by Deborah Ann Woll in the Netflix series] is an interesting dynamic. When you read the comics it’s etched in a Daredevil memory all that stuff.”

Of course, Colin Farrell played the character in the 2003 movie that Marvel and Ben Affleck and everyone else would like to pretend never happened, but Cox also hopes the narrative eye isn’t taken off the characters that have already been introduced.
“…rather than have a new character every season I’d love us to explore more of the Wilson Fisk stuff. It’d be great if at some point Vincent D’Onofrio would come back for a season,” he added. “There’s so much Daredevil-Wilson Fisk left untold. As he really came into his own, as Wilson Fisk turned into the Kingpin at the end of season one, I’d love to see what that now does to the Daredevil-Fisk dynamic going forward if we were to do a season 3 or 4 or whatever.”
