Put aside the chatter about how well or not the box office is doing for specialty, awards season releases like "Room," and let’s focus on the film itself. Moving, haunting, and affecting, the adaptation of Emma Donoghue‘s novel is well deserved winner of the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival, even more, it’s a big lead role for Brie Larson, who puts forth one of the best performances of her career so far.
A24 continues to rally attention for the movie, and for those who have seen the movie and want to dig deeper, or others who are about to dive in, there’s plenty to explore. The actress has visited both Happy Sad Confused and CBC Radio‘s "Q" for extensive interviews, which are well worth listening to below. Beyond that are a handful of clips from the movie, including one narrated by director Lenny Abrahamson, and after that even more featurettes and promos.
"Room" is now playing and it’s one to track down if it screens near you.
