A formidable cast including Chloë Grace Moretz, “American Honey” breakout star Sasha Lane, John Gallagher Jr., Forrest Goodluck, and Jennifer Ehle will star in “The Miseducation Of Cameron Post.” Based on the novel by Emily Danforth, the film is set in 1993 and follows a girl forced into gay conversion therapy center after getting caught with the prom queen. Moretz will play the title role, with Lane as her friend, who is also sent to the conversion clinic.
With a Vice President who once voted for funding to help people “seeking to change their sexual behavior” and opposed gay marriage, this film couldn’t be more timely. Looks like ‘Cameron Post’ will be headed in front of cameras soon, and we’ll be keeping it on our radar for 2017.
