Finding himself in a lull between filming for “Jurassic World” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” sequels, action star Chris Pratt is negotiating to join the cast of sci-fi film “Ghost Draft,” according to Deadline. The film will be directed by Chris McKay, who’s last big director gig was “The Lego Batman Movie.”

“Ghost Draft” is the working title for SkyDance‘s new film, which they believe has the potential to be big. With Chris Pratt signing on, the man who’s all about big blockbusters recently, it just might be. The film will begin production this summer, following the screenplay written by Zach Dean (“24 Hours to Live,” “Deadfall“). there’s no full synopsis yet, but the general idea for “Ghost Draft” is very science fiction, with a man drafted by time travelers to fight in a future war, turning the tide one way or another by preventing events in his current time from happening. Chris Pratt, it is assumed, will be playing the lead.
Chris McKay is usually associated with animated projects, as his history with “The Lego Movie,” “The Lego Batman Movie,” “Adventure Time,” and “Robot Chicken” shows. However, “Ghost Draft” will definitely not be animated; it may have some heavy CGI, but it will be all live action. Though considering how well the ‘Lego’ movies are turning out action- and plot-wise, we shouldn’t be worried. As of yet, no other big names have been attached to “Ghost Draft,” and really Chris Pratt hasn’t even been fully confirmed, but this is looking like a movie we definitely want to keep an eye on.
