Contest Giveaway: 'Raging Bull' Photo Signed By Martin Scorsese & Robert De Niro

We’ve got a great prize to give to one lucky reader today, guaranteed to make your July 4th weekend a bit happier. One reader will receive a signed copy of a beautiful, off camera, 20 x 30 photo of Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese in the boxing ring during the filming of “Raging Bull.” Four runners-up will receive a DVD copy of either “Raging Bull” or “Shutter Island.”

The prizes come courtesy of Epix Movie Free For All, a pretty great program of summer movie screenings taking place in Coney Island, The East Village, Long Island City and Williamsburg in New York City. The event kicks off this Thursday, June 30th with “Raging Bull” that will play under the stars in Tompkins Square Park and will be introduced by none other than boxing promoter Don King. But that’s not all, as right through September, Epix will present a mix of new and classic films each week with “Rango,” “Biuitiful,” “Iron Man 2,” “Star Trek,” “Annie Hall,” “Flashdance,” “Top Gun” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” all on the schedule. But, if you want to be even closer to the action, follow @EpixHD on Twitter and take part in their Sweet Seats contest for a chance to win a special VIP seat at 10 of the screenings this summer. EPIX will announce on their Twitter handle when the contest begins for each movie, then all you have to do is tweet to @EpixHD with the hashtag #EPIXFFA as instructed to become eligible to win. And get on it right away as the first VIP seat to be given away will be at “Raging Bull” this Thursday and that will include a meet-and-greet with King.

Update: Contest is closed. Winners will be contacted via email.

So, how do you win the photo? Email us your name, address and answers to the following three “Raging Bull” questions:

1. How many minutes did CBS cut from the film for its network television premiere?
2. What was used to simulate blood in the black & white film?
3. What movie did Robert De Niro notice Joe Pesci in, prompting him to suggest the actor as a candidate for Joey LaMotta?

The EPIX Movie Free-for-All powered by Verizon FiOS runs June 30 to September 12 in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens.

Contest is open to residents of the U.S. only.
