There are streaming sites, and then there’s Fandor. Aimed at cinephiles, the site offers a specially curated selection of world cinema, indie films, genre pictures and much more, all geared toward film lovers and connoisseurs. And Fandor has stepped things up in November, rolling out their first titles from The Criterion Collection.
Hulu will be sending the titles over to Fandor who each week will be debuting a new series of films connected with a common theme. November will bring groups of films relating to "Expeditions," "Island Life," and "Family Troubles," with the movies available for viewing for twelve days (check out the initial lineups below). Overall, Fandor will have approximately thirty Criterion movies available per month, all just a mouse click away. And for one lucky reader, we have a one-year subscription to Fandor.
