If you don’t yet know about “The Kings of Summer,” it’s time to get schooled. It’s the feature debut of Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the man behind the festival hit short “Successful Alcoholics,” it was one of the highlights of the Sundance Film Festival this year and oh yeah, we picked it as one of The Best Films Of The Year…So Far. Already open in limited release, this weekend it expands to over 20 more cities so there’s no excuse for you not to track it down. And we have a great prize pack to give away for those who dig the picture.
To recap: “The Kings of Summer” brings together a strong supporting cast (Alison Brie, Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally) to support the three leads (Nick Robinson, Gabriel Basso, Moises Arias) in the comic and heartfelt tale of a trio of teens who decide to ditch their problems at home and live off the land, in the wilds of the woods. It’s a unique coming-of-age tale, and one of the better bets for your dollar this summer, and it has also inspired some great artwork. Below are five alternate posters for the film that we have bundled into one mega prize pack for a lucky reader (two of which are signed by artists Rich Kelly and Jon Wilcox). We also have runner-up prizes for the regular theatrical poster that you can put up on your wall.
