Quentin Tarantino has hinted for sometime that he could pick up where he left off at the end of the “Kill Bill” series were he so inclined and once even talked about continuing the film in an animated form (that wouldn’t follow Uma Thurman’s character).
It’s probably just an off-the-cuff throw away thought, but when asked by Tarantino Archives on a recent “Inglourious Basterds” set report what project is next, the filmmaker replied:
“Oh I don’t have a clue, I can honestly say I don’t really know. If this is a hit, I could do another version of this, or I could do a Kill Bill 3, or I could do something completely different. I’m not really sure, I’m just really focused on this, so I don’t really have an idea what will come after this.”
Again, it’s probably theoretical [ed. but if we don’t report it, someone else will 😉 ] and we don’t take it very seriously. If it never happens (and it probably won’t), QT obsessives shouldn’t shed too many tears, at least a “Kill Bill Redux” DVD is (eventually) on the way.
