As seen in the trailer for the film, ‘Crock of Gold’ tells the story of Shane MacGowan, an unlikely musical legend that came from nothing and rose to prominence with his blend of traditional Irish music and punk rock. And as you might guess, his lifestyle also led him down a dark path that is all too familiar to rock stars of his era. In the film, you see why people think he’s one of the best songwriters of all time and how his love of sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll led him down a path that almost destroyed his life.
