Cyborg Confirmed & Cast In 'Batman Vs. Superman'

Cyborg

Just prior to “Man Of Steel” hitting theaters last summer, writer David S. Goyer gave fans a little nugget of the world building he had dropped into the script. “We mentioned S.T.A.R. Labs at one point, that’s kind of a connection to Cyborg,he explained at the time, and then we all kind of forgot about it. But today comes a reminder as the role has been cast, and “Batman Vs. Superman” just got bigger by one more hero.

Theater actor Ray Fisher is getting a major career boost having landed the role of Victor Stone aka Cyborg, who is horribly injured during an experiment gone wrong at his parents’ S.T.A.R. Labs, with his father retrofitting him with life-saving prosthetics. Depending on which version of the comics you prefer, Cyborg was either part of the Teen Titans or (in later, retconned iterations) the founding member of Justice League. We’d wager it’ll be the latter version of the character we’ll be seeing in Zack Snyder‘s “Man Of Steel” sequel. And it should be noted, the role will likely be small, with THR reporting that the casting call for the movie only required an actor for one scene. (Though obviously, that could change).

Fisher will join Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, Gal Gadot, Holly Hunter and more in film which will hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
