“28 Days Later” director and producer behind the ’28 (inster time here) Later’ zombie franchise Danny Boyle just recently said he was considering directing “28 Months Later,” the third film in the trilogy himself.
But now comes word from Joblo, that much like “28 Weeks Later,” Boyle might just executive produce and hand off the reigns to another director (‘Weeks’ was capably handled by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo).
In an overhead conversation, Arrow In the Head (JoBlo’s gore sister-site) said that the director Paul Andrew Williams (“The Cottage”) came up. They say that the director has already been “chosen,” but it is an overhead convo and should be considered hearsay at best. Still, interesting to note. We’d rather have Boyle handle the final (?) film, but maybe he’s just got too many new ideas that he’d rather tackle first which is understandable for a genre hopper like him.
