Dave Bautista Spills The Beans About Drax's Status In 'Avengers 4'

**Spoilers for “Avengers: Infinity War”**

Look, we know that most, if not all, of the heroes that turned to dust at the end of “Avengers: Infinity War” are coming back. But we honestly expected it would be at least a few more months before the actors associated with the film start spilling the beans.

In an interview with Collider, Dave Bautista, aka Drax the Destroyer, was talking about what it was like watching the ending of the film with family and friends. He was shocked when he started getting messages feeling bad that his character died:

“I got a lot of texts saying, ‘I can’t believe you’re dead, your character is dead.’ They were really like heartbroken and I was like ‘I’m gonna be in [‘Avengers 4’]. I’m gonna be in ‘Guardians 3.’’ I don’t know how they’re bringing me back, but yeah, somehow I’m going to make it because, as far as I know, I am going to be in ‘Guardians 3,’ so I have to be back.”

Well then.

Obviously, we know that “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is a thing because Marvel has announced it is coming as part of Phase 4, but now we know for sure that Drax will be involved. Most people assume that Drax will be joined by his other dusty compatriots Star-Lord, Mantis, and Groot, as well as the currently-alive members Rocket and Nebula. The only character whose fate is still up in the air is the seemingly dead Gamora.

So, there you have it folks. There’s your first confirmation that one of the “dead” Marvel characters will soon return in the upcoming untitled ‘Avengers 4.’

In other ‘Avengers’ news, the Russo Brothers are opening up about one Easter Egg that was apparently too much for even Disney to include in ‘Infinity War.’ In an interview with Huffington Post, the directors talk about how they had big plans for Captain America’s phone number, which can clearly be seen in the film. However, Disney had other ideas about the joke.

“We actually had intended to create a fake voicemail from Steve Rogers,” Joe Russo said. “For the people that left the theater and called that number, they would get a voicemail from Steve Rogers.”

“And that number was the actual number that we were going to use. We were sort of given that number,” said Anthony Russo. “We had it all ready to go, but legal took that away from us.”

Sorry, fans. Because of the corporate legal Disney overlords, you can’t call up Cap.
