So, just how much money is Netflix throwing at stand-up comedy? Well, they’ve sourced enough content that they will have one new stand-up special for every week in 2017. And they’ve been getting some heavy hitters into their fold, too, including Jerry Seinfeld, Louis C.K., Amy Schumer, and perhaps biggest of them all, Dave Chappelle. He’s been away from the TV game ever since he famously left “Chappelle’s Show,” but he’s been hitting the live circuit hard, and now two of three scheduled specials are on their way to Netflix.
“Dave Chappelle: The Age Of Spin” was filmed at The Palladium in Los Angeles in March 2016, and “Dave Chappelle: Deep In The Heart Of Texas,” was filmed at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas, in April 2015, and they’ll both be bringing all-new material to fans.
Both specials land on Netflix on March 21st.
