David Lynch Directed Lady Dior Ad Starring Marion Cotillard Debuts On May 15

No, this is not an April Fools gag.

WWD Media (via Just Jared) are reporting that a new spot in the ongoing Lady Dior campaign fronted by Marion Cotillard is a 12 minute movie directed by none other than David Lynch. Apparently filmed last December in Shanghai, the film “Lady Blue” centers on the futuristic Oriental Pearl Tower and will feature Cotillard, “reciting a poem that [Lynch] wrote, and [that] was inspired by the Pearl Tower itself.” We’re sure it’s not going to make any sense and be only tangentially related to fashion — so color us excited.

The mini-film will debut on May 15th on the Lady Dior website with teasers arriving as of April 20th. As you might recall, earlier this year another spot for the brand, “The Eyes Of Mars” a music video featuring a song written by Franz Ferdinand and sung by Cotillard was unveiled as well.
