Demian Bichir, 'Game Of Thrones' Star Emilia Clarke & More Join Jude Law In 'Dom Hemingway'

nullAnd just like that, "Dom Hemingway" has rounded out its cast to join Jude Law and "Withnail & I" star Richard E. Grant, and is headed in front of cameras as planned. First announced this spring around the Cannes Film Festival, the ratio of projects unveiled to those actually having a chance to get made is probably a 50/50 shot, but lo and behold, this one is sticking to the plan.

From "The Matador" writer and director Richard Shepard, the film will find Law playing the title character, a larger-than-life ex-con safecracker who sets out with his best friend (Grant) to pick up his payment for keeping his mouth shut for twelve years in prison. Demian Bichir, "Game Of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen on the show; she's also currently in the running for the love interest in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier"), Jumayn Hunter ("Attack The Block") and newcomer Madalina Ghenea have all come aboard, and while not all their roles are known yet, Bichir will play the crime boss Dom has to visit in the south of France to get his pay.

Production will get underway this fall and we have some hope for this. Certainly, the prospect of Law and Grant on a roadtrip is very promising for the black comedy, and the supporting players are strong. We'll likely find out how it all turns out sometime next year.
