Legendary Pictures is already producing the upcoming “Dune” film reboot from Villeneuve that is due in theaters fall 2020. Legendary Television will lead the series, and Villeneuve is expected to direct the pilot episode with Jon Spaihts of “Prometheus” and “Doctor Strange” fame to write the teleplays. Spaihts and Villeneuve also co-wrote the current “Dune” screenplay with Eric Roth.
