'Despicable Me' Soundtrack Features Lots Of Pharrell, The Bee Gees, Robin Thicke & More

Despite how good (or not so good) the forthcoming animated comedy “Despicable Me” is, it will probably have the coolest soundtrack of any kids film this year.

It was announced back in January that Pharrell would be penning tunes for the film, and not surprisingly, the beatmaker and rapper is all over the upcoming soundtrack. In addition to four solo cuts, Pharrell also produced “My Life” for third-rate Justin Timberlake singer Robin “Son Of Alan” Thicke. Pharrell also wrote and produced songs for the film’s characters including “Minion Mambo” by The Minions (co-written with Lupe Fiasco) and “The Unicorn Song” by Agnes. Parents out there will be served by two classic cuts, “You Should Be Dancing” by The Bee Gees and “Boogie Fever” by The Sylvers.

The soundtrack will hit stores on July 6th, three days before the film opens on July 9th.
