For only $6.99 per month, you are going to be hard-pressed to find a more bang-for-your-buck streaming option than Disney+. With the Disney film and TV catalog, combined with selections from Fox and the various original series and films in the works, it appears that the Mouse House is going all out to make sure it can easily compete with the likes of Amazon and Netflix. And if you’re still not convinced, and grew up in the ‘90s, it’s quite likely that the latest reported additions to Disney+ might be enough to change your mind.
According to a report from user in Europe, who is testing Disney+ with a free trial, it appears the upcoming streaming service is going to include many of those classic Marvel/Fox animated series from the ‘90s, including “Spider-Man,” “X-Men,” “The Incredible Hulk,” “Iron Man,” and “Fantastic Four.” And if you’re a superhero fan that enjoys some non-‘90s nostalgia, there are the classic Spider-Man cartoons from the ‘70s and ‘80s, including “Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends,” as well as the recent iteration of the wallcrawler, “Spider-Man Unlimited.”
Long story short, if this is going to be an option all across the world, Disney+ subscribers are going to have access to some of the finest Marvel animation ever to air. I mean, as a fan that was the perfect age to enjoy the run from 1992 to 1995, shows the Fox animated superhero shows were the be-all, end-all at that era. Hell, even though Bryan Singer brought the X-Men to life in the new millennium, I’d argue that “X-Men: The Animated Series” is the best adaptation of the comic books to exist to this point, hands down.

Obviously, if you couldn’t care less about Marvel superheroes, this news isn’t going to make you plop down $7 a month, but for those that are looking for more than just the “Lady and the Tramp” live-action remake and “High School Musical” reboots, then the addition of the Marvel animation line-up is enough to keep us busy in between the numerous live-action Marvel Studios TV series.
In other words, Disney probably already had my money, but now it’s a done deal. I welcome our new Mouse overlord. Enjoy the opening theme to “X-Men” and “Spider-Man” below:
Disney+ will have classic Marvel animated series like X-Men ‘92, Spider-Man ‘94, Spider-Woman ‘79, Spider-Man ‘81, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, Iron Man ‘94, Fantastic Four ‘94, Incredible Hulk, Silver Surfer, and Spider-Man Unlimited. pic.twitter.com/Yzj3DiZtwg
