Talk about worlds colliding. It seems the unvierses of the Kardashian family and Eastwood clan are now going to be sharing the same orbit, or at least, the same television network.
If reports on TMZ (via Movieline) are accurate — and let's pray they got this one horribly wrong — Clint Eastwood's wife Dina and his daughters Morgan and Francesca (an aspiring actress, natch) are now going the reality television route, and are currently shooting a new show that will air on E! all about what it's like to live as part of "Hollywood royalty." It's a pretty hilarious and kind of tragically wrong-headed premise. Yes, Clint Eastwood is a legend and royalty, we suppose (though that suggests a lineage of Hollywood stardom, but whatever) — but those other three aren't. Moreover, Clint generally doesn't make a habit of engaging with the press unless there's a movie to promote. Unlike other reality TV folks who go out of their way to make sure somebody is taking a picture of them at all times, Clint could care less. And frankly, we were never really aware of Dina and her daughters until, well, now.
Anyway, Clint himself is thankfully not really going to be part of this except to pop up here and there, and probably look incredulously at the camera and wonder WTF the women in his life are doing. Otherwise, this show will probably be like every other kind of its ilk, with the women dealing with Rich People Problems that the rest of us could only wish to have until it's 3 in the morning, you've got an empty carton of Ben & Jerry's, and you're wondering how on Earth you got suckered into a marathon especially since you have get up in three hours for work. Make it stop.
