Does Craig Robinson Need A Hug? 'Pineapple Express' Hitman Busted for Possession

Craig Robinson, known for playing sensitive tough guys in the Judd Apatow millieu, (the hitman in “Pineapple Express”, the doorman in “Knocked Up”) was arrested on June 29th and charged with possession of illicit substances, including ecstasy and methamphetamine. Are the problems this big teddy bear has going on in his life hinted at in his work? Maybe he should just show up on set the day of, like Robert Downey Jr. and wing it. In fact, the ‘Walk Hard’ actor could prolly stand to take some RDJ advice.

The Apatow pal was pulled over for a traffic violation in Culver City, Calif. On June 29th. Officers discovered Robinson to be under the influence of amphetamines, cocaine and “cannabinoids,” according to a felony complaint filed by the L.A. County District Attorney’s office. “The Office” star posted the necessary $10,000 bail hours after the arrest and expected in court on August 21st.

Why is it with comedians struggling with dark demons? C’mon Craig, you’re funny and sensitive and therefore perfect to continue alongside the Apatow troupe for years to come if they don’t blow it with sequels and shit like that. We’re rooting for you – Mickey Pagels
