Way back in 2011, news arrived that "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Final Destination" producer John Rickard set up an adaptation of quarter-eating arcade game "Rampage" at New Line. And that was the last anybody heard about it, because really, who is asking for a "Rampage" movie? Well, apparently Hollywood is, because they’ve just got a big star attached.
Dwayne Johnson is now flexing his muscles for the project, with the live-action movie looking to shoot next summer. Ryan Engle ("Non-Stop") is writing the script, and while it’s not certain how the game will be turned into a narrative, you may have forgotten that in the video game, the gorilla, lizard, and werewolf are actually the result of an experiment gone wrong on three humans, George, Lizzie, and Ralph.
