'Run Rabbit Run': Elisabeth Moss To Star In New Film From 'Handmaid's Tale' Director Daina Reid

While we still don’t know when we might see the next season of “The Handmaid’s Tale” (yes, there are some that say we’re living it currently), it appears that the series’ star Elisabeth Moss has found a new film project that will reunite her with one of the Hulu series’ directors, Daina Reid, titled “Run Rabbit Run.”

According to Variety, Elisabeth Moss is set to star in a new film from director Daina Reid, “Run Rabbit Run,” which will be looking for a distributor at this year’s virtual film market at Cannes. The report claims that the film is written by novelist Hannah Kent and follows the story of a fertility doctor that begins to question her beliefs about life and death when she notices something strange happening with her young daughter.

As mentioned, the film is directed by Reid, who is a veteran in the realm of TV. In addition to her work on “The Handmaid’s Tale,” the filmmaker has directed episodes of series such as “The Spanish Princess,” “The Outsider,” and “Upload.” Most recently, she directed two episodes of the Netflix series “Space Force.”

Moss has had a hell of a 2020 already. She started the year with the hit horror film “The Invisible Man,” which earned her rave reviews and became one of the only big box office hits of the year, being released a month before theaters were shut down due to COVID-19. And just last week, her newest film, Josephine Decker’sShirley” hit Hulu and VOD, once again giving her a showcase for her talent. She’ll next be seen in the upcoming Wes Anderson film, “The French Dispatch.”

It’s unclear when we might see “Run Rabbit Run” hit production. Clearly, they shouldn’t have issues finding a distributor with Moss attached to star, so hopefully, the film is able to hurry into production.
