Elisabeth Moss has wasted little time in putting her “Mad Men” acclaim to good use in the TV and film world. She’s lined up projects with Jane Campion, Alex Ross Perry, Walter Salles, and Ben Wheatley among others, and now she’s adding another auteur to her increasingly impressive film resumé.

Moss has signed up to star in “The Square,” the next film from director Ruben Ostlund, the helmer behind the celebrated “Force Majeure.” But just because the filmmaker is working with Hollywood talent, doesn’t mean his unique storytelling voice will be muted. Indeed, this one will revolve around a museum’s attempt to drum up publicity for an altruistically themed exhibit that ends up going over the line.
The film will co-star Danish actors Claes Bang and Christopher Laesso, as well as Marina Schiptjenko, who is a famed international gallery owner. Last we heard, the movie will “most likely” be in English, but I would assume it might be a mix given this casting. We’ll likely know soon enough as cameras will start rolling in June. [THR]
