Ellen Burstyn, John Lithgow & More Go Down The Wormhole For Christopher Nolan's 'Interstellar'

nullThe stars continue to align for Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming sci-fi epic “Interstellar.” Already with the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck, and Bill Irwin on board, the supporting cast is rounding out with Ellen Burstyn, John Lithgow, “Twilight” actress Mackenzie Foy, and “Homeland” actor Timothee Chalamet. This will be Burstyn and Foy’s second project together, the first being the recently wrapped indie “Wish You Well.

A writing collaboration between brothers Jonathan and Christopher Nolan based off of a project initially circled by Steven Spielberg and theoretical physicist Kip Thorne (who will act as technical consultant on this one), “Interstellar” is about a group of explorers who go through a wormhole, so be ready for some head-trickery with time travel and alternate dimensions. Now, to whatever you’re imagining at this very second, add a Hans Zimmer score. Mind blown? With these little morsels, our hopes are already sky-high and shooting hasn’t even started yet.

As of now, we know very little about the actors’ roles, outside of McConaughy playing the male lead, and true to Nolan’s form, don’t expect to find out much more anytime soon as details will be under wraps for as long as humanly, or inhumanly, possible. With the film set to open November 7, 2014, there’s still a long while for speculation and feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
