Looks like we aren’t the only ones upset about Netflix‘s cancellation spree. Rapper Eminem (aka Marshall Mathers, aka Slim Shady) recently took to his twitter to voice his, ahem, disappointment at Netflix. Trust us, Marshall, we feel you.
Netflix has been working with Marvel for a couple years creating suspenseful, engaging superhero shows that have won the hearts of fans and critics alike. Starting with “Daredevil” in 2015 and “Jessica Jones” soon after, Marvel shows on Netflix were renewed for new seasons again and again until now.

“Iron Fist” starring Finn Jones went down first, taking the superhero ensemble spinoff “The Defenders” with it, and that was just the beginning. “Daredevil,” “Luke Cage,” “Jessica Jones,” and now “The Punisher” have all been put to rest by the streaming giant. Marvel, Disney, and many of the cast have made sure to put the blame squarely on Netflix, voicing their dismay that their shows were canceled along with millions of fans. Now Eminem is joining in the cries of protest, though it doesn’t look like Netflix is budging anytime soon.
We always knew that Eminem was a superhero fan. His name has appeared on the “Suicide Squad” soundtrack, and recently we heard his original song for the crazy alien symbiote film over the ending credits of Marvel’s “Venom.” A Netflix series like “The Punisher” might have been a bit too small time for this international multi-million rapper, but unfortunately, now we will never know.
The second and now final season of “The Punisher” was released on January 18, 2019, and is available to watch on Netflix.
DEAR @NETFLIX,
REGARDING YOUR CANCELLATION OF THE PUNISHER, YOU ARE BLOWING IT!!
SINCERELY,
MARSHALL— Marshall Mathers (@Eminem) February 21, 2019
