The more things change… Back in 1991, Celine Dion teamed with Peabo Bryson to sing the theme song for the Disney animated movie “Beauty And The Beast,” and it earned a Grammy nomination and Oscar win. Now over twenty-five years later, Dion is back with a new, original song for the live action movie, with the mouse house clearly hoping to recreate some movie magic. And if that doesn’t work, they’ve also got a new song from Josh Groban. This won’t be the movie you grew up with.

Emma Watson leads the new take on the fairy tale, which brings together a huge ensemble — Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Audra McDonald, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson — for the Bill Condon directed movie. And Disney will be hoping the mix of live action and CG can weave a whole new romantic spelling a fresh generation of filmgoers.
“Beauty And The Beast” opens on March 17th.
