The Emmys race for Leading Actor in a Drama category appears to be a battle between two “Succession” actors: Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong. No disrespect to those fine performances, but we’re going out on a slight limb and predicting “Pose’s” Billy Porter calls a repeat for the show’s second season. “Pose” didn’t make the Drama Series category after earning a nod last year. That led to some significant backlash from all corners and FX has spent a lot to push Porter in this race. Throw in the fact Cox and Strong could easily split the vote and we think the Tony winner repeats. Also, don’t discount “Ozark’s” Jason Bateman. He could also benefit from a close race.
