Netflix sure does love its serial killer programming, huh? Not only does the streaming platform seemingly have new true-crime docuseries about some heinous killer every week or so, but Netflix is moving into the narrative adaptation side of things with a new Jeffrey Dahmer series produced by Ryan Murphy titled “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.” And now, we know who’s leading the cast.
According to Deadline, Netflix and Ryan Murphy have brought on Evan Peters, a longtime Murphy collaborator, to star as the serial killer in “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.” As you can gather from the title, the series will tell the story of Wisconsin’s own Dahmer and his reign of terror decades ago. The series is reportedly going to be told from the POV of the victims and follow just how the police were unable to apprehend the killer for such a long period of time.

Murphy also has lined up some more actors to star in “Monster.” Joining Peters are Richard Jenkins, Niecy Nash, Penelope Ann Miller, Shaun J. Brown, and Colin Ford. The series’ pilot episode will be directed by Carl Franklin.
