Even Ridley Scott Doesn't Know If Harrison Ford Will Be In His New 'Blade Runner' Movie; 'Prometheus' Sequel Teased Again

nullFirst it was reported Harrison Ford was in talks for the brewing new "Blade Runner" movie, then that was shot down by the film's producer, but now, director Ridley Scott reveals he really has no idea at this point.

"No. Don’t know yet. Don’t know yet," Scott told EW when the magazine asked him about the possibility of Deckard returning, adding that he wouldn't rule it out. Why is this all up in the air? Because they have yet to crack the story, or even determine if it will take place before or after the seminal sci-fi film. "We’re still in discussions about whether it should be a prequel or sequel. It’s an interesting conversation. I’m meeting with writers and I’ve also gone back to [original 'Blade Runner' screenwriter] Hampton Fancher and he still speaks the speak. He’s right there. I spoke with him this week. But we don’t even have a script yet," Scott explains.

Asked why he chose to return to the "Blade Runner" world at all, Scott reveals that the "enjoyable" experience of making "Prometheus" had him excited about the idea. He also adds, "I’m also thinking about what the hell I might do for a 'Prometheus 2' " before literally knocking on wood when asked if there would be one.

This isn't the first time a sequel for the upcoming movie has been teased. During the fall, in the rudnown of Scott's potential projects (of which he has many), it was revelaed that Fox was already thinking about a followup and it seems those conversations are already happening.

But holy internet, folks. Can we just call for a moratorium on all this speculation until a writer is hired for either project or there is some concrete movement? Okay, thanks. Basically, the short version of this story is: nobody knows anything, yet.
